My Second Bridal Shower

Or technically this one was a "Couple's Shower".

Personal Photo
This fantastically, fun shower was thrown by my 'soon-to-be' sister-in-law! It was quite different than the first shower, definitely not better or worse, just different...

We need to cover our tables with something...

I have been going back and forth over the past several months of what kind (color) of linens I wanted to use for our reception. I knew the look I didn't want. I have seen several weddings where the linens are "overwhelming" for the room.

This is our actual reception venue.
Because the room has such dark wood I think all the white is slightly overwhelming. I knew I had to be careful in choosing the colors I would use.

The First Dress Arrives!!!

So we went over to BM JB's house today to watch the football game. (I am lying, I went to drink wine, eat and talk!) But I also got to see her bridesmaid dress!!!!! I was so uber excited because went we went to Alfred Angelo to pick out dress (which you can read about here) they didn't have a single dress in the charcoal color, so I was pretty much ordering these blind (almost, they did have a 3" square piece of charcoal fabric for me to look at).

Here is the dress that BM JB tried on:

It was very hard to imagine what it was going to look like when it was in the correct color, but I no longer have to  try and imagine what it looks like. Because... (Drum-roll, please)........ Here it is.......

Changing Wedding Colors....halfway through the engagement..

We got engaged December 2010 & our wedding is April 2012.

Not too long after we got engaged I have come up with what I thought was the "Perfect" color scheme: Black & White 'Traditions' Damask with hints of Pink (all pink flowers).
